Biography:
Jake T. Austin (born Jake Toranzo Austin Szymanski; December 3, 1994) is an American teen actor who currently stars as Max Russo, the youngest of three wizards, on the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place and as the voice of Diego in the Nickelodeon animated series Go, Diego, Go!
Jake T. Austin was born Jake Toranzo Austin Szymanski in New York City, New York, the son of Giny and Joey Szymanski. His father is of Polish, Irish, and English descent and his mother is "Puerto Rican, Argentinian, and Spaniard". He has a sister, Eva, who is seven years younger than him.
Austin performed the voice for Diego, the lead character in the show Go, Diego, Go!, which is shown on Nick Jr, and now plays the role of Max Russo in the Disney Channel Original Series Wizards Of Waverly Place. He has also provided voices for the animated movies The Ant Bully and Everyone's Hero, and appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board. He starred in The Perfect Game; Hotel for Dogs; and the Disney Channel Original Movie, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. In February 2010, he guest-starred on Suite Life on Deck.
During the filming of The Perfect Game, Austin built up a friendship with fellow actor Christian Fortune. In their spare time the two boys enjoy producing and directing their own productions on youtube. They have recorded several episodes in their web series, Tales of Sebastian.
He was cast in an animated film called Rio, with Anne Hathaway and George Lopez, and was also rumored for another film called Blues Man.
