Biography:
Taylor Marie Dooley (born February 26, 1993) is an American teen actress. She is best known for her starring role as Lavagirl in the Robert Rodriguez's film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D.
Dooley was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She is of Irish, English, German, and Sioux Native American descent on her father's side and of Belgian, German and English descent on her mother's side. She has a younger brother named Drew. Dooley was raised a Christian and grew up in Glendale, Arizona, where her family moved when she was six. Dooley, who was home schooled, admires actress Natalie Portman. Dooley is friends with AnnaSophia Robb, to whom she once lost an audition for Drake and Josh.
Dooley began acting and dancing in the Phoenix Theater's Performance Troop, and soon appeared in commercials for Famous Footwear, Disney Superstar Kids, and Mary Kate and Ashley clothing, among others. Dooley subsequently moved to California and made her film debut in the 2005 fantasy-adventure film, The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl in 3D, which was a success among its intended children's audience, grossing $39 million in the United States box office. Dooley played Lava Girl in the film. She has also appeared in the independent films Whitepaddy, Apology and the National Lampoon's Clubhouse film Trick or Treat. She is going to appear in Alyson Stoner Project. Many pictures taken from the set show Taylor with a V.I.P. card around her neck. She has recently guest-starred on House M.D.. She is a member of Maximum Ride User Based Casting currently auditioning for the role of Max in the Maximum Ride film adaptation.
