Biography:
Tyler James Williams (born October 9, 1992) is an American teen actor and voice actor. He is most recognizable for playing the title character of the Chris Rock-inspired sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. He will play Kenneth Watson in the upcoming film The Watsons Go to Birmingham.
Williams was born in Westchester County, New York and raised in Yonkers, New York. His mother, Angela Williams, is a singer/songwriter, and his father is a police sergeant. Williams has two younger brothers; Tyrel Jackson Williams (b. 1997) and Tyzir Jacob Williams (b. 2002). Williams previously starred in Little Bill as the voice of Bobby, briefly replacing Devon Malik Beckford in 2000, and played himself (or an eponymous character, "Tyler") on the children's show Sesame Street from 2002–2005. He has also guest-starred in Two for the Money, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and the show Hi-Jinks along with his Everbody Hates Chris co-star Tichina Arnold. In late 2009, Williams appeared in the second season of True Jackson, VP as Justin in the episode Flirting with Fame. He played a rapper named Lil' Shakespeare. He recently made the "Young Hollywood's Top-Earning Stars Under 21" list at #9 making US$1.2 million.
